Why do you have to measure the inside of the material when you replace the screw?
Release time:2026-09-22
For maintenance service providers, describe the method of checking the diameter of the screw, the inner diameter of the material drums, the wear and tear at different locations, analyse the risk that the new screws will continue to flow back with the old wear and tear drums and accelerate the grinding, and give recommendations for the verification of the fraction internal diameter and calculation of the actual co-ordinated gap and gap, plasticized production and pressure.

With regard to the matching of the screwdriver drums, customers often ask first for the price or term, but the maintenance service provider should first check the screwdriver's diameter, the inside of the drums, the wear and the gap at different locations. Only by quantifying these conditions can the standard screws have an interpretable boundary with the choice of a dedicated screw.
Old machine upgrades are the easiest to ignore system matching. New screws must be compatible with the needs of old drums, drives, brakes, heating, nozzles, control of travel and molds. Any build-up, speed-up or material upgrade should first measure the status quo, then determine whether the single replacement, plasticization component upgrade or the full retrojection of the unit. Site information should preferably include both photographs, short videos and data sheets. Photos are used to identify machine interfaces, screw tails and front-end components, video can be observed to measure, buffer and abnormal sound, and data tables are used to calculate the rate of application, the need for plasticization per hour and the length of stay. If only partial information can be obtained, a list should be provided for confirmation, rather than a tentative condition being a definitive conclusion.
It is recommended that customer information be broken down into five groups: products and moulds, raw materials, platforms, process objectives and existing problems. Product end logs of single weight, flowway, number of caves, wall thickness and appearance levels; ratio of feedstock end recorder number, melting finger, filling, flame retardation and retrofitting; terminal logs of tonnage, voltage, screw diameter, maximum travel, injection pressure and plasticization. All data are sourced and are marked, drawn, physical, measured or estimated by clients. The focus of discussion in this paper is on the screw diameter, the inner diameter of the drums, the wear and tear of different positions and the gap, which must correspond to the customer ' s current production conditions and not be limited to the maximum values in machine samples.
The configuration proposal should go to a segment to measure the inner diameter and calculate the gap between the actual collaboration, rather than using vague descriptions such as “enhanced” or “high performance”. The spiral drawings need to reflect the effective length, three-part scale, depth, compression ratio, tail connection and anti-reverse components; the material programme needs to distinguish the base, surface hardening, alloy layer or coating, and to indicate the pattern of failure for which they are intended.
Special vigilance is required for new screws with old wear and tear drums to reflow and accelerate grinding. Many of the post-sale disputes arise from inconsistencies between the design input and the actual production conditions, such as the customer ' s replacement of the raw material number, the increase in the return rate or the transfer of the screw to another set of moulds, while still requiring the maintenance of the original acceptance results. The configuration of the boundary and change management should therefore be included in the technical document.
Upon completion of the project, the delivery was concluded by gaping, plastic production and security, and the size test, material or heat treatment certificate, trial modelling records and maintenance recommendations were archived. Sales teams can return after three months or a ton agreement to compare plasticization time, energy consumption, product fluctuations and wear and tear trends. Therefore, a simple logic of “symmetrically symmetrically” should not be used for the skeletal match. Only by accounting for products, feedstocks, tonnages, voltage, screw diameter and target cycles will the standard screws have a clear scope of application and the dedicated screws have a reasonable design basis and return on investment.
