What's the difference between the cap and the screws of the bottling project?
Release time:2026-09-22
For packaging equipment manufacturers, the method of checking differences between HDPE or PP bottle caps and PET embryos and their periodicity, analysing the risks of drying, cutting and yield from replicating the same reductive unit, and giving recommendations for verification of special plasticization programmes and cyclical, acetylene or size stabilization by material and single-weight.

Bottle caps and bottling embryos appear to be of a conventional equipment selection type and are in fact prone to deviations because the material and cycle differences between HDPE or PP caps and PET bottles are not assessed at the same time. For packaging equipment manufacturers, the correct approach is to establish a situational baseline before discussing specific configurations.
The name of the industry itself is not an optional parameter, but it points to a quality focus and production rhythm. Car projects focus on long-term stabilization and traceability, medical projects on cleanliness, packaging projects on high speed, optical items on low pollution and low stress. Plant manufacturers should translate these industry requirements into verifiable screw and process indicators. Site information should preferably include both photographs, short videos and data sheets. Photos are used to identify machine interfaces, screw tails and front-end components, video can be observed to measure, buffer and abnormal sound, and data tables are used to calculate the rate of application, the need for plasticization per hour and the length of stay. If only partial information can be obtained, a list should be provided for confirmation, rather than a tentative condition being a definitive conclusion.
It is recommended that customer information be broken down into five groups: products and moulds, raw materials, platforms, process objectives and existing problems. Product end logs of single weight, flowway, number of caves, wall thickness and appearance levels; ratio of feedstock end recorder number, melting finger, filling, flame retardation and retrofitting; terminal logs of tonnage, voltage, screw diameter, maximum travel, injection pressure and plasticization. All data are sourced and are marked, drawn, physical, measured or estimated by clients. The focus of the discussion here is the difference between HDPE or PP caps and PET embryo materials and cycles, which must correspond to the customer ' s current volume production conditions and not be limited to the maximum values in machine samples.
In the context of this item, it is proposed to adopt the approach of “contribution of dedicated plasticization programmes by material and single reprogramming”. First, to determine whether the available data support the choice, then to calculate the volume of reductive, pressure and plasticization, and finally to discuss the geometry, front-end components and material handling of the screws. If the standard formula is able to cover the window, priority should be given to the standard configuration; if the same reductive unit is reproduced, the risk of drying, cutting and yield still exists, with a dedicated structure presented and the increased costs, deadlines and expected benefits indicated.
The main risk of the scene is that replicating the same gel unit will ignore drying, cutting and yield. The issue of whether or not to be derived from a screw should first be excluded from drying, heating ring, thermal voltage, nozzles, reversible rings, wear and tearing of the material drums and changes in process parameters. The use of exclusions is more reliable than the direct replacement of components and also protects the time and cost of both the seller and the client.
Upon completion of the project, the delivery conclusion is cyclical, acetylene or size stabilization, and the size test, material or thermal treatment certificate, trial modelling record and maintenance proposal are archived. Sales teams can return after three months or a ton agreement to compare plasticization time, energy consumption, product fluctuations and wear and tear trends. Where the information is temporarily incomplete, the pre-selection scope and the list to be confirmed may be provided, but it should not be considered a final commitment. The freezing of the configuration after the customer has completed the material and cycle differences between the HDPE or PP caps and PET embryos can reduce erroneous orders and facilitate the use of the same version of data after production, testing, installation and sale.
