How to assess the value of a spiral upgrade for energy consumption and stability
Release time:2026-09-22
For plant manufacturers and end-users, describe the method of checking unit production energy consumption, plasticization time, end-of-life and shutdown, analyse the risks of neglecting quality and maintenance gains by measuring only the rate of power saving, and provide recommendations for validation of the pre- and post-upgrading matching conditions and kWh per kilogram, good rate and shutdown time.

The problem with many of the upgraded value assessment projects is not the lack of equipment capacity, but the omission of unit production energy consumption, plasticization time, end-of-life and shutdown at the selection stage. The ability of plant manufacturers and end-users to complete technical confirmation prior to the offer would significantly reduce the risk of subsequent re-engineering and complaints.
Old machine upgrades are the easiest to ignore system matching. New screws must be compatible with the needs of old drums, drives, brakes, heating, nozzles, control of travel and molds. Any build-up, speed-up or material upgrade should first measure the status quo, then determine whether the single replacement, plasticization component upgrade or the full retrojection of the unit. Calculates the nominal value to be converted to the actual condition. The machine often uses PS as a reference for the gel weight, which should be revised by density when using other raw materials; the weight of the product should be added to the main course, traffic separation and a reasonable buffer. The larger the diameter of the screw, the greater the theoretical capacity, but the pressure of injections per unit area under the same hydraulic pressure or servo system will decline and the resolution of the measurement of the small amount of the aerosol may also be variable.
Material analysis cannot remain under PPP, ABS or PA names. The specific plate number, the percentage of the product or mineral filling, the flame-retarding system, the water-bearing requirements, the permitted stay time and the recommended processing temperature should be checked. Differences in the sensitivity of viscosity, wear, corrosiveness and shearing may be apparent in the broad categories of the same material, which change the compression ratio, the three-part ratio, alloy and surface treatment. The focus of the discussion here is on energy consumption per unit of production, plasticization time, end-of-life and shutdown, which must correspond to the customer ' s current production conditions and not be limited to the maximum values in machine samples.
The establishment of a pre- and post-graduation comparison could be used as the main route for project advancement, as well as an evaluation of sales, design, process and customer participation. The evaluation focused on the completeness of the input data, whether the assumptions were confirmed by the client, whether the mechanical interfaces were matched, how standards and specialized programmes were selected, and who provided the acceptance data.
Quality and maintenance gains are likely to occur post-natally when measured in terms of the rate of electricity saving only on an empirical basis. The success of a single test module does not represent long-term stability, particularly for projects with high filling, high temperature, frequent colour change or multi-molecular co-plasms, and needs to look at changes in batches of material, the length of continuous production and the accumulation of wear and tear.
It is recommended that the client set a clear upper and lower limit on kWh per kilogram, good rate and stop time, rather than just " running well". Quantification criteria may include measurement of time fluctuations, extremely poor product weights, number of black dots, change time, hourly production or ton wear and tear, with specific projects choosing indicators that really affect business outcomes. The continuous accumulation of project data from the upgraded value assessment will allow the equipment manufacturer to gradually establish a package, a trade charter and an aircraft-type menu to allow sales to quickly identify general and special conditions and to submit a truly complex project to the application engineer for evaluation in a timely manner.
